Update – Two

Images of our final project boards have been posted to the Project Files section of our site. We changed our design quite a bit from the initial concept. We know it’s for the better.

We decided to push the design as far as we could, which resulted in a bolder set of images than before. The steps were taken as a fully collaborative effort, which was surprising to us at times. During numerous moments in the finalization process, the group suddenly “clicked” on a certain design idea and then ran with it to achieve the maximum potential.

Pictures of our design process are in the works. Instead of just pasting low-resolution hastily taken pictures, we prefer taking the time to clean up our photos and present our sketches and brainstorms in an orderly fashion.

Take a look around. Stay a while. Leave a comment or two. We’d love to hear what you think. Be sure to check out the other groups’ projects as well. We all put in a tremendous effort, especially considering our close proximity to so many exciting travel destinations.

Update – One

Images of our design have been uploaded to the Project Files section of our site. The boards you’ll find there were used in the class review of our concept. A photograph of the model we produced will be posted soon.

Currently, we are working on refining our design. We are focusing on rationalizing our initial idea and making it a plausible proposition. We have focused our efforts on the structure of the main hub, the interior makeup of the main hub, and the transportation system between communities.

We will be posting pieces of our design process here, including sketches of our thought processes and screenshots of our 3D models. Any “finished” concepts will be posted to the Project Files section, after considerable review and critique. Your feedback is most certainly welcome.

Design, like energy, is dynamic.
